About me
I'm a freelance English teacher based in Berlin, Germany. I received my degree in English from the University of Rhode Island in 2017 and completed my TEFL certifications two years later. Between 2017 and 2020, I worked at the Providence Children's Museum developing and facilitating play-based and child-directed programs for pre-school and school-aged children. These experiences equipped me with a unique set of knowledge and skills that serve me well teaching people of many ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Since 2022, I've begun collaborating with
InterACT English, a Berlin-based nonprofit, facilitating English-immersive learning opportunities for children throughout Germany with a heavy focus on arts integration and cultural exchange.
Volunteering
After taking a biological anthropology course at university, I became fascinated by primates and now volunteer for two NGOs focused on their conservation. For the
Gibbon Conservation Society, based in Malaysia, I create educational programming that teaches children about gibbons and the importance of their conservation in the wild. For the
New England Primate Conservancy, I write comprehensive profiles about various endangered primates from all over the world.
